After our two days in Victoria (
one &
two), we took the ferry back to the states. We hopped in a cab and stopped at our hostel (I don't want to talk about it... ). Through the noise, the disgust, the jet lag, and the hunger we were ready for bed.
We woke up to the sounds of all sorts of things... at least we tried right? ... and eventually it was time to get up.
We walked a few blocks to a fantastic bakery called
Macrina. There are several locations and their baked goods are phenomenal! I loved the atmosphere; modern yet cozy, lively but not too loud. It was our breakfast haven. :)
After that we walked the short distance to the
Olympic Sculpture Park. We didn't know exactly what the park would be like, but we had heard good things and knew that it was FREE! :) It ended up being one of my very favorite places, shock coming from the ex-art history major I'm sure.
The park is situated overlooking the Puget Sound and the Olympic Peninsula. The view was incredible, the weather was perfect, and the park was the perfect place to spend our morning.
I loved this place so much that I took hundreds and hundreds of photos there.... so here you have some of my favorite (it is a LOT!). So I will have to do a Day 1 Part II post with the rest of our day in it later. :)
Have you ever been to a sculpture park? Have you visited this one?
We actually visited another one in Minneapolis the very next weekend, which I will share soon!
I hope that you get to visit this place someday!
More Seattle pictures coming soon!
Thank you for Reading,
